Pantothenic acid worked for me for 7 years. Eventually, the effects began to fade over a year or so. I then decided to switch to a natural diet (fruits, veggies, organic meat, legumes, nuts) and my skin has cleared up. This diet is low carb because natural eating is low carb. Refined sugar, bread, pasta, and the likes are the cause of many health problems and can contribute to acne. I would recommend you go low carb, but don't cut out fruits entirely. They have many documented health benefits. I also strongly suggest you buy organic meat such as Coleman or Montana Range.
