i was using cetaphil cream when i was on accutane, but when i use that now, it makes my skin super greasy and gross feeling. anyone have any suggestions for a good lightweight moisturizer?
I have heard from people who have used accutane that aqua glycolic face cream is great for moisturizing dry skin ... it's kinda light but I only use it at night b/c I'm still battling oily skin and breakouts ... if your clear from accutane it may work well for you ... your skin WILL however be soft and smooth after repeated use... I'm proof of that !!!
Complex 15 Moisturizing cream.....light, non greasy, absorbs well. I used it alot during first weeks of drying topicals. No need now, and warm weather days here, but I liked it when I needed it.
yes, the aqua glycolic face cream is an excellent moisturizer; I've been using it since the 19th & it's totally eliminated my dry patches & it makes my face so soft
but it's really rich & unfortunately my forehead & nose are oily & I think this makes them oilier/shinier.
However, I think the benefits outweight the negatives & if you have dry skin rather than oily, this stuff is incredible!
I'm also looking for a good light moisturizer. I am currently using Aveeno Positively Radiant Moisturizer. Although it hasn't caused any breakouts, I really don't like the heaviness once it is applied. I'm tempted to switch to the Aveeno moisturizer that has salicylic acid, but I'm afraid it will be too harsh for me. I also need the moisturizer to have SPF sunscreen. I used to have severe acne as a teen and now I have moderate adult acne and I need to be cautious of overdrying my skin now.
If you want something natural Rachel Perry makes an excellent Calendual and Cucumber oil-free moisterizer. I love it. I leaves my skin soft, yet not greasy. It also contains good acne fighting ingredients. :-)
