I know, I'm dealing with that too. My neck is my main problem, my face isn't bad at all. I'm using Retin A Micro once nightly (.1%) and Clindagel 2 times daily. Its slowly getting better, its been 5 weeks. I live in turtlenecks.
I mean it seems like if I have to have acne, it would be better to have it on the neck than the face, but I think having it on the neck sucks just as much as face acne.
This sounds weird, I know, but it worked for me...Corn starch. My mother FORCED me to try it, and it worked in a few days. It did absolutly nothing for my face, chest, or back, but it cleared up my neck completely. I used it for about a month, and I haven't had a problem like that since.
Sorry, I suppose I should've said what to do...
Just put it right on. No water or anything. If you do it at night it's easier, so you won't be walking around in public with the chance of white stuff on your neck. I did it before I went to bed and just rubbed it on - but not too thin. It comes off very easily, however, so be careful.
GoodnightElisabeth, that was very interesting... I just did some further research and quite many sites recommended the use of Corn Starch for acne treatment. However, one of the sites stated that “Use a thin layer of corn starch (which absorbs sweat) in skin folds. However, when the white cells are low (often after chemotherapy), do not use corn starch because it can cause a skin fungus or yeast infection to develop.” Where can you buy Corn Starch? I have to do more research on it... But, what exactly did it help you? Did it dry blemishes?
I can deal with zits, I just hate big pimples that take weeks to go away and then right when they do others form around or right on top of the old marks. Drug companies better start looking for some real answers because there is a LOT of money to be had.
