I was a believer of FOOD doesn't related to ACNE. At least, thats what all western medical doctors say.
But I visited a naturopath the other day, a person from the EAST, and he said that 80% ACNE is related to FOOD.
I understand DAIRY, FATS, WHEAT, IODINE, and JUNK FOOD are big no no's.
I have been given a diet that I must be on for about 3 weeks until my next visit.

My question:
What in the world do you guys eat for breakfast - those who are on these so called 'acne diets' or just simply watch what they eat because of their acne.
Well, doesn't the diet he gave to you list foods that would be good for breakfast? I don't always eat breakfast, but when I do I have Bacon, eggs, fruit, rice/oatmeal cereal.
If you REALLY miss certain things you can have Wheat Free/Gluten Free Waffles, Pancakes, bagels, muffins etc. Some of those things I like and others I've gladly dropped (some substitute foods just aren't worth it)
It is just a bunch of foods that are available to eat that are neutral to acne.

One thing that was stressed in this naturopathy visit was a home made 12 ounce drink that I need to make EVERYDAY for the next 3 weeks. This juice drink consists of:
CARROTS (5)
BEETS (1)
CUCUMBERS (2)
CELLERY (3)
GARLIC (shred them into the shake, like a topping)
*This should be homemade in a home juice maker. Do not add anything else nor make it sweet. Just hold your breath and drink it up (it doesn't taste too good).

He also told me to STOP all multi-vitamims. They are all a fluke because your body doesn't naturally need any. Any vitamins needed are in the above drink.
I was given 5 different herbal pills:
ZINC LIVER (add zinc to the live to clean it up)
COLON CLEAN (herbs specified to clean the colon)
OLIVE LEAF (olive leaf extract, not sure what its for)
CALCIUM (calcium pills because he restricted me of ANY dairy foods. Said DAIRY is the worst thing for acne prone skin.)
ACIDOPHILUS (a bunch of 'good' bacteria for your immune system)

He also said to eat a lot of 'whole foods.'
Nothing processed.
Nothing with WHITE FLOWER. Whole wheat is much better.
Brown rice can do.
Any fresh fruits and veggies.
Unsalted butter at times won't hurt. Feta cheese at times wont hurt. (Feta is the only cheese in the dairy group that wont do anything to acne.)

But with that said: I still have trouble finding what to eat for BREAKFAST.

I eat pop tarts and sometimes honey nut cheerios. Followed by milk. I believe milk plays an important role in making ur face soft and acne free..
They say chocolate is a myth in creating acne..
I think chocolate really does create acne.. I stopped eating chocolate for a whole month and still going.. my face hasn't developed as much acne as before
thats interesting abuot the shake because carrots are supopsed to have a high GI and are one of the things you would usually avoid on an acne diet. for breakfast i eat eggs, fruit, and pumpernickel toast.
Aaron 43- If you really really like milk and cereal, you could try organic brown rice cereal- its the equivalent of rice krispies only w/ brown rice and w/o all the chemicals.
Organic milk is really good too- no bad hormones or chemicals. Soymilk is a really good substitute too, really good for acne, but in my opinion it tastes like liquid cardboard. just my two cents though.
if you do your research..you will know that food does not CAUSE acne. but eating the right foods will help repair acne. and drink LOTS of water. if you think foods CAUSE acne, your livin in the ice age.
