Something that can WORK, not something that could work

Godness, this is the last time I'm going to be doing something like this for awhile. Your opinions can really help me make my choice. It's nothing really long or confusing.

If you are an Acne Suffer, meaning that you still are one. Please help a person out. My daughter is suffering from acne, scars, and discoloration.

Thinking about trying Murad. Anyone heard of it? Does it work?
Microdermabrasion does that work for acne scars? How about soy?
Any pills other than Accutane (never tried), doxry, mino that works?

I need your opinions here.

microdermabrasion is very good, its not too expensive, but she would need about 3-? treatments depending on her skin...im not sure about murad, but accutane is the only thing that helped me ( ive tried doxy. retin-a, mino, etc) .... sometimes it takes awhile to get answers on the board but we will answer, just hold on a few days

I myself don't like murad. made my skin feel like I had an oily film on it. I loved getting microdermabrasion. It made my skin feel so clean and healthy.
What about taking your Daughter to a reputable dermatologist. They can put her on a nice regiman. They would put her on the right antibiotic and topicals.
my daughter is on the following regiman. She is 16 yrs old and follows it for the most part. I can tell when she doesn't cause her face starts to break out.
am pm washes with neostrata face cleanser. We get at sephora
am differin gel (she hates her Retin A) so I use it for my wrinkles
am neostrata moisturizer w/ sunscreen spf 15
pm durac gel
cetaphil moisturizer
she also has to take a antibiotic 2 xs a day.

I would ask the derm. about microdermabrasion on your daughter. She is so young. Has she tried the aspirin mask? Also, if you can get a chance ceck out a book called The Skin Type Solution. There are some good recommendations in that book and its written by a dermatologist.

I have not tried accutane. I am in my 30s and still suffering. I have recently found a regime that works for me with info I have gained from the book I mentioned above as well as using the aspirin mask.

You may also want to look into the home lasers for acne. I haven't tried them yet but am looking into them.
