Hydrogen Peroxide on acne
When you put hydrogen peroxide on your acne (ie: cheek area) and as it dries the "fumes" waft up towards your eyes and your eyes start to sting and water,...do these fumes actually cause HARM to the eyes themselves, or is it just irritating?
Nothing is getting IN the eye in terms of the solution, so no actual liquid is dripping in there or running in there, it's definitely a "fume" issue as it dries.

The hydrogen peroxide is bad for your skin. It is very damaging!! I know for a while it was recommended for acne but now studies have shown it is very bad for the skin. It generates free radical damage and can impair the skin's healing process. Paula begoun has a whole write up on why she no longer recommends it and she will lists the studies where the information is coming from. As for the fumes and your eyes, if it is irritating your eyes and making the water that is yet another reason to not use it.

Hydrogen Peroxide is however, GREAT for open acne lesions...ie popped zits. It will get in the zit and clear and prevent future bacteria and dirt.
what about rubbing alcohol?!?!?!?!?
