HEy everyone.. I just wanted to ask the peeps who have already done one or more course of accutane.. I am almost finished my 2nd course 80mgs/day for over 6 months.. I woke up today with a small breakout.. not huge .. I feel dumb for complaining about it but I am concerned that it is a sign that my acne might not be cured and that it will come back after I stop. I was just wondering if this may just be a flare up and if anyone has had this happen at the end. I just don't want it to come back. I plan on doing a maintence dose too.

Same thing happened to me when i was about to finish my 2nd course of Accutane (at 120mg/day). It's hard to say whether or not yours was just a single flare-up or not. It may have been because you did something that caused it recently, I don't know. But, for me, I continued with maintenance and stayed relatively clear for about 2 months, and then my acne came back worse than ever. I'm currently back on Accutane for the 3rd time. I don't really know what to tell you, but unfortunetly you can't stay on Accutane forever. Good luck.

Hey Andrew.. thanks for the reply.. YEah I might have been something I did.. I went out drinking a few times last week, with very little sleep to boot. You said you went on a maintence dose? What kind of dose was it and for how long? How is ur 3rd course going? Same dosage 120mgs/day? Also, if ya don't m ind me asking, how bad was ur acne before accutane? And has tang really made a diffrence? Considered anything else besides accutane? Sorry for soo many questions..
