I have very fair skin and I use both differin and azelex for acne. I'd like to start going to a tanning salon, but I'm not sure how my face would react to it. Has anyone out there had any trouble tanning while using these products? Thanks!!

I have not done this myself but I would seriously not recommend it. I was on differin once myself and as you know you're supposed to avoid too much sun and since tanning at a salon is supposedly worse for you than the real sunlight I would really think twice about it if I were you. I'm sorry this sounds a little harsh I just wanted to give it to ya straight

You are not supposed to tan while on Differin because it has Retin-A in it. I have heard that it will scar your face if you do. Never tried it myself...I always waited until I was finished with treatment.

wow, i had NO idea i could get scarring from that.. thanks so much for the advice!! guess i'll have to stick out the summer being white!! but it could always be worse!

Tanning is a bad idea anyway(meds or no meds). It will make your skin worse in the long run and cause damage and possibly skin cancer.

It possible(not sure if you can on those meds) - try a self-tanner. They work great and you can get an oil-free one.
