One of my dad's friends who is a dermatalogist said that once i'm done with accutane i should wait a month, then use tazorac for about 6 months. After that you should maintain clear complexion. After my first course, my current derm did not put me on anything, therefore the acne came back within 6 months.
I am 1 month post Tane, and am using Tazorac. It is supposed to help get rid of the red scarred areas on my cheeks. It seems to be doing the job so far. Otherwise I just use purpose cleanser mixed w/some baking soda. I also use Paula's Choice BHA. Skin is looking really good now! I may switch over to Aromaleigh's serums, toner, cleansers after I've finished w/ the Taz.
Hey Haydensmom did your derm put you on tazorac? After you were finished did all the acne go away, or did you have acne left and thats why your derm put you on taz. Cause this is my second time of Accutane, and one of my dads friends said to use taz after a month. I'm wondering if the acne will go away for sure. Cause i'm sick of taking acctuane
Hey lifehouse how long have you been on retin A micro after Accutane? How is it going for you so far? You know how people are suppose to get a flare up from using tazorac or retin A, well did you get one after coming off of Accutane and then going on Retin A?
i finished my accutane treatment 4 months ago, and i have been using retin-a micro since then. I really like it! It makes the red scars go away very well and i think it's going to keep the acne from comming back. I read a very good article about retin-a on dermadoctor.com. It convinced me retin-a is a great product and not to be afraid to use it long term.
