Post Accutane and initial outbreak
I'm considering accutane even though my acne is mild/moderate. One question: all the other things that are supposed to cause an initial outbreak (retin-a, b5) never caused an outbreak in me. Does this mean that my chances are lower w/ 'tane?

Don't let that discourage you! If your acne is mild, the initial breakout will probably be mild as well (comparitively speaking).

I think it's diffeent for everyone, though most report an initial breakout.
It's been over 3 weeks and I'm still waiting on mine. Though I never had breakouts on any other meds either.

hi
i took accutane and the initial breakout wasn't any worse than a regular "not so good week" without medication. DOnt worry about it! What's 2 weeks of slightly worse acne compared to years of clear skin after accutane!

And dont worry, when you get some breakouts while you are on accutane, they heal very very fast!
