I've been reading about this jojoba oil and have decided to try it, but people say they just use a few drops. Exactly how do you apply it? Do you squirt some on your hands and rub them together and then on your face? Do you put it on a cotton ball? Is it really liquidy and slippery? Can you wear it under make-up?
To apply it, you just put 2-3 small drops in the palm of your hand and massage it all over your face. I would not put this stuff on a cotton ball though- trust me I did that once.
If you put on too much or don't rub it in well enough, it will feel really greasy and oily. But, if you only put on a TINY bit and get it all absorbed your face will look matte and feel like baby skin.
I wear it under my makeup, but if you have oily skin then I wouldn't. You can also put your acne medications or a different moisturizer over it and it will penetrate better.
I love the Jojoba oil too and I have very oily skin. It seems to help control it.
I use a cotton pad with a tiny amount(maybe two drops) and spread it all over my face in the morning and night. I do this after my BHA solution and in between my BP.
i put 2-3 drops in my left palm, and then dab the puddle with my right finger and use my finger to smear it around my forehead, cheeks, chin, and neck. Then i smooth it all around and gently rub it in a bit.
i know it sounds weird, only a few drops, and i had my doubts in the beginning that it would work, but it does. It is my absolute most favorite moisturizer ever. I love that I spent $14 a few months ago, and i'm not even halfway through the bottle.
Ok, I used jojoba for the first time today. I must admit, it was very difficult to put what feels like pure, greasy oil on my face, but I did it. Then I rubbed it in really good and waited ten minutes before makeup. The only thing I've noticed so far is that after my morning class, I blotted my skin with my Clean and Clear sheets as usual and my face was a little oilier than usual. Will that go away as my skin adjusts? Or maybe I should try applying less. I only used 2 drops. My skin isn't particularly oily to start with, but now that it's summer it's oilier and sweatier than I'd like. I hope this oil doesn't make me break out.
