Has anyone ever heard of or tried a product containing glycolic acid as the sole, main active ingredient? I am looking for the 8-10% variety.... I went to Target and couldn't seem to find any.. anyone know of any brands/stores?

try aqua glycolic face cream. i've read great reviews on it, however i'm not sure what the percent of glycolic acid is...i hear you can buy it on the shelves at Eckerd. hope that helps

Not sure where you can find them though. But I am pretty sure that they are between 8 and 10 % and it is the only active ingredients, not positive though.

also Reviva makes glycolic acid products, usually available at health food stores, although i've seen some in Drug Emporiums. i was going to order that, but i'm impatient, so i'm finding an Eckerd in Philly and going there instead for the Aqua Glycolic and just hoping it's not brain damage expensive
alpha hydrox has an "enhanced creme" that has 10% glycolic acid in it... it's oil free too.... and its at walmart... little square red box with the name brand "alpha hydrox" on it.... i've used it, and it works well... I've just started needed a bit more than 10% though, so I ordered the MD Forte's cleanser with 15% glycolic compound... not sure how much better that's working... BUT.. i do like the alpha hydrox creme

M.D. Forte is a line of glycolic acid products and they're great. They have the percentage you're looking for and can be found at your dermatologists office or online.
To all of you who have been using the glycolic acid, have you noticed any difference and if so, what has it been? I am cursed with the small bumps aka closed comedones. I have read that glycolic acid helps to get rid of them. Anyone know if this is true?

I assume you came to this conclusion through trial and error. What is your basic washing regimen, and do you use or have you used any oral antibiotics?
I am also looking for a new cleanser. Any suggestions?
Right now I use J& J Purpose clear cleanser, followed by a Biore 2% Sali. Acid Toner and some Benzamycin.
I also just started taking 75 mg of Doryx.

MD Forte is expensive, so I used the whole bottle. I hated it. It made my face even oilier than it already was. My face always had a shine to it and I was constantly wiping the excess oil off.
