Msg. For Sweet Jade Hi SweetJade :) I bought flax seed oil yesterday. I used to take an omega-3, not for skin, but just for health, but I read in Dr. Weil's book that flax seed is much better. Also, I've read in numerous books you need to have a balance of omega-6 and omega-3. Since my omega-3 didn't contain 6, I stopped taking it, b/c I don't want to mess anything up. So, now I'm ready to start the flax oil, but you have me wondering if I can convert it into Omega's. How will I know? Should I just eat nuts and fish? Thanks! ~Emma [This message has been edited by EMMANUEL (edited 06-29-2003).] |
Hey =) You will know that you are able to conver flax seed or flax seed oil, because it will work ;-) If after a couple of weeks you don't see any benefits then you should switch back to your omega 3 or a Omega 3-6-9 blend. However, you usually get plenty of Omega 6 in your diet, so that's why you always hear people say to supplement with mainly Omega 3. |
Hey, Thanks for the advice sweetjade. I really don't want to use it for acne, but just b/c it's so good for you, but if it helps, so much the better! ~Emma |
