Post Accutane and SCARS.

ok Accutane left me with some Scars/pitts on my face. Damn it! Anyways I was wondering when I stop taking the Accutane will my face still leave pitts if I get a pimple?? because Ive noticed that when Im on accutane Most of the pimples leave pitts, and this never did this before Accutane. So I was just curious if my pimples would still leave pitts on my face after when I stopped accutane.

One of the drawbacks of taking Accutane is that your skin forgets how to heal properly. Before I started taking it, my zits/wounds would heal within four days and leave no trace; now, it takes more like four months--sometimes longer.

Mandilyn, relax... I finished Accutane like 6 weeks ago. I don't know how my skins gonna heal on my face, you know why??? Because I haven't had a single pimple on my face since like February...for real. Hopefully if it works as well for you as it did me, you won't have to worry about more scars. I had real severe acne too and 80mg a day. I did have like 2 pimples on my back and they healed SLOWER...But I think that's because the Accutane is still in my body..it hasn't flushed out yet. So just wait a couple months after and see what happens

Mandilyn:

To answer your question, it's been five years since I stopped taking Accutane. My skin stayed clear for a total of four months post-medication. It's much less oily, now, but that's my only victory. You, on the other hand, might have been cured, in which case you WON'T have to worry about problems with healing. I really hope your skin stays clear.

Well I dont think accutane will work for me, I dont know why I just have this big feeling. I have no hope for anything because everything I tried just dosent work for me. With the luck that I have, It wont work. I just wanted to know if my skin will ever beable to heal the same, even if its five years from now I just want my skin to beable to heal the same. Oh well.
