I have these purple marks on my chest from previous zits that were probably huge. Other than this, i have no zits, just marks.. anyone know how to make these go away.. ive been scrubbing with a body washer thing, using neutrogena body scrub.. so its double scrubbing.. and i usually scrub away for a while... but i dont usually do that on my back, and my back looks better, should i not scrub so hard/much.. will that make them go away faster? or anything else?
on a brighter note, i decided to take one more month of accutane, and my derm lowered me from 120 mg to just 40 a day.. so thats good. but these purple marks..
maybe i can rephrase that, does anyone think scrubbing hard can cause the marks to heal more slowly? i noticed on the right part of my back (dont scrub much there, because i have to use my left hand to reach it and im left handed) is more clear than my chest and left side of back.. anyone think the scrubbing could be making it stay longer?
hey! i have the same purple marks but on my face... it happened to me when i was taking this acne pill.. and now that im off of the pill they dont come any more but the marks are still there. so if anyone knows anything i wold really appreciate it too!
hey tiredofthisall, i don't think the scrubbing is preventing the purple marks from healing. the only thing it could be doing is irritating the surrounding skin. how long have they been there? ask your dermatologist about them, maybe you could use a prescription bleaching cream? good luck!
