I took B5 for about 2 months. It cleared me up. I was doing like 8g a day. My headaches came at this higher dosage. Eventually I quit because it stopped working. In fact, I started breaking out REALLY bad. I got acne in places of my face that I have never gotten any... After I stopped, I still continued to experience headaches for a while. I don't know how safe this stuff is in high doses. I dont know if I trust vitamin acne remedies after that experience...Now I am on Spiro.
i took B5 for 5 months. I started at 10g and then went down to 4g. I got headaches and upset stomach all the time. My face was less oily. I also lost about 10lbs in the 5 months.
the reason i stopped was my hair began thinning. I didnt just notice it, my friends did too. It freaked me out because every time i'd come out of the shower i could see my scalp through my hair and my pillow would be full of hair. Well, i'm back to normal now, my hair is short but you thick and worst case i'll see maybe a single hair on my pillow in the morning.
I was jazzed initally that it worked but i realized it was only a band-aid, it did not solve the problem only put it away temporarily. My oil came back big time and i never used to get cysts but as soon as i quit B5 i started getting cysts. Well i guess they're under control. I'm not ****** at B5 or the people that rave about B5 because i made a consious decision to get on it, but i figure i need to warn people. At the end it's your choice.
