Iodine definitely aggravates my acne,
so if you are going to take a multi
vitamin take one without iodine.

Zinc is good against acne. I take about 45mg/day. It didn't make my acne dissapear, but I break out less.

125 mg daily sounds like a very large dose, maybe thats why he broke out badly. For instance, when you take Accutane (1mg per kg) you break out bad for the first few months, but if you take a lower dosage you dont (but it will take longer to see results). Research indicates that Zinc dosages over 100 mg per day actually impairs the immune system (while dosages lower than 100 mg improves it), maybe thats why people break out from Zinc intake, they take too much.

I read a lot about vitamins, minerals and EFAs in order to help my acne. I followed ebook "Acne Miracle", it has a lot of information about what vitamins are needed to battle acne from inside. It has been about 6 months since I started the diet, my skin is better but did not completely cleared as I expected. At least I am off the antibiotics and my skin did not get any worth. What I do not have courage to do is completely detoxify my system: liver, kidney, GI tract. I strongly believe that fighting acne from outside is not enough.

I am taking about 70-90 mg of zinc, 100,000-200,000 UI beta carotene, lots of B3 and B6, selenium (100 microGm), vitamin E 1600 UI, magnesium and calcium (do not remember at this moment), MSM, EFAs (omega 3, 6 and 9), and others. If anyone interested, I can list exact dosage because right now I just remember what I buy and how many of tablets to take 2 times a day.
Also, I read that one needs to take vitamins from natural sources. Some of the vitamins will not do anyone good because our bodies will not be able to absorb them. Read the book, I think anyone should know these basics.

It's absolutely true about vitamins from natural resources. They are more expensive than synthetical ones, but they are the only ones that work. In fact some of the synthetical vitamins, like Vit. K, can damage your body.

I was talking to someone at a store and I asked her which vitamon is powerful for acne scars... She said Vitamin E in large doses is good for people with acne scars or hyperpigmented skin!

vitamin A. it is essential for good skin and very helpful to keep acne away. but u should check with ur dermatologist first before taking another supplement of vitamin A, taking it right after ur Accutane course might not be recommended. i think u know that Accutane belongs to vitamin A family. and taking too much vitamin A can result in liver failure.

That is right, vitamin A is not good in large dozes. However, beta carotine is not toxic in large doezes becuase the body converts beta carotine into vitamin A as needed.
