I have had about 5 major cysts in the past few months and they leave these tiny hard bead-like bumps under my skin which you cannot see, but never go away! I have two near my lips and it's not like I really care, but it's kind of annoying. Does this happen with all cysts? Will they just stay there forever? Does this happen to anyone else, or am I just insane?
yea i have those hard bumps every once in a while too. as a matter of fact i have 2, right under my left ear. they are really annoying. from my experience it starts to fade after 4-5 days for me but still pretty red. Hope yours go away soon.
Hm yeah I've had mine for like a month or so. It's embedded deep in my skin so it doesn't even create a bump on my face it just feels like it rolls around in there.
I usually scratch the skin off the tops of mine. Then a teeny tiny scab will form, which I can subsequently (slowly and carefully) peel off, lifting out the "bead" in the process. The bead sticks to the scab, somehow.
Should I try to extract them? I am pretty sure it will never go away if I don't. I never pick or squeeze zits, but these are pretty stubborn. Maybe my derm can do it for me?
Asking your derm to extract them would probably be more advisable than attempting to self-treat. I think doctors have special instruments that are less likely to injure the surrounding skin.
definitely ask for ur dermatologist's help. if ur cyst has a head, ur derm will be able to extract it for u. otherwise, if it's just a bump without head, cortisone injection is ur best bet. ur cyst will clear up within a day or two. but not all derm performed this injection, so call and ask around. good luck!
I used to do my own with success, but you really have to know how to do it right or you'll end up in worse shape. You have to use a needle (the size of the needle is really the key) and push just the right way. It can be done, and you can get them out for good, but, hey, I had years to practice to get so good at it, lol! Thank you, B5, I don't need those skills any longer, but maybe I can rent myself out to you, lol!

Hm, I think these bumps are here for good. They don't feel like pimples anymore and not like cystic acne. More like a very tiny pebble is stuck under my skin, not filled with any fluid or puss, but a hard mass of skin cells or something. It's hard to explain, I guess I should just mention in to my derm.
