Thumbs up THE BEST MAKEUP EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have recently been introduced to Aromaleigh Mineral Makeup. I think I originally heard about it from someone else on this board? It has completely changed my life, I finally look, and feel beautiful! I just finished a course of Accutane in May, so I was feeling really ugly for quite some time! This makeup DOES NOT cause breakouts for me(those little skin-colored ***** things around chin and on jaw line) It is the BEST, trust me. I am wearing this stuff 12+ hours w/no oil breaking through!!! It looks completely natural and feels like I have nothing on my skin! It is really recommeded for people w/ acne and roseaca. This is just my opinion, but if you order some samples, you won't be sorry(application=takes a while to get it right) If anyone has any ?'s I can try to answer them, other wise go to Aromaleigh.com and check out the forum(really nice women w/ great advice!).

Ha, I knew you were going to say Aromaleigh. I love the stuff. It looks like I'm not wearing any makeup and gives my face a nice finish. I am hooked on the Illuminator (I use it alone as my only makeup). It gives you a nice natural glow that lasts all day, and the people are just as nice to deal with as the products they sell. I, too, have experienced no breakouts or clogged pores from using their powders.

It's really hard to explain to someone how great of a product it is, isn't it? It's like I am addicted to it now!! Have you tried the new primer? If applied correctly,(took me a couple of trys) it will make your pores disappear! This is a miracle for me; I have pores that could house SUV's!! Have you seen the new eyeshadows? OMG, can't wait to order again. Feeling pretty, pretty, pretty!

yes, I saw the primer was new and almost ordered it myself. Now I'm going to have to as I do have large pores.

Guess what else works? I was in a hurry one day accidentally put the lavendar eyeshadow sample on my cheeks and, not wanting to rewash my face, I just applied my regular powder over it and added a hint of blush. The effect was amazing. The lavendar underneath gave my cheekbones the most marvelous glow that was very attractive. Fearing that maybe the eyeshadows would clog my pores, I haven't done it again, but it just goes to show how great these powders are. You can even misuse them and still end up looking good, lol!

Glad you're so pleased too!

OH,the great news is...
The eyeshadow is made of the exact same ingred. as the foundation! Just different natural color pigments! The girls on the forum always mix eyeshadows/ Seafoam(green) and Flaxen(yellow) with their foundations to get differnt effects. The seafoam is supposed to cover red areas. I just ordered the flaxen for under my eyes.(concealer) That's what I love about this stuff, you can mix everything to get your own little potion. I mixed some pure cover, pure powder, primer, and Vert(green to even out skin tone) and put it in a sifter jar(Aromaleigh sells them too!) I bring it to work for a touch-up, even though I rarely need it!

PS I should have posted earlier as AL had a sale all last week! You could've gotten the primer on sale! I put 2 orders in!(ouch!)(hee, hee)

Oh and I forgot to add......
Get the flocked sponge(3 bucks) for the primer; this is the only way that I could really achieve the poreless look! good luck!

I have fair skin. I mostly tan, but it takes a while. My hair is brownish/blondish/with red highlights. My eyes are a greenish/brown, but mostly the brown shows. I have large pores and oily skin. What should I get as far as foundation and powder?

I would start by ordering samples, either baggies(cheaper) or jars(4bucks, but you get a lot!) I would order 1c,1n, and maybe even 2n,or 2c. I am a perfect 2n. Brown eyes/brown hair/pretty fair too. Get a sample or primer(porceline) in light. Get some blush samples and some eyeshadows if you want. I would also get a sample of Conquille Vert(green powder) it really covers redness and DOESNT show up green under your powder! Oh, and Pure cover has more coverage than the pure powder, I make a mix of 50/50 each! Go for it, you won't be sorry. Sorry for the messy post, in a hurry!!!!!

I ordered some samples of the pure cover and the pure powder over a month ago and I haven't been using them because I can't apply them correctly. I tried putting the moisturizer on first and that still didn't help. I would appreciate any suggestions.

Sassy,
What are you using to apply it? With mineral makeup the application is either a Make or Break! All I can say is get either the flocked sponge/or a big fluffy brush Kubabki(I have one on the way). Apply from the top of your face downward, helps make pores look smaller(bc light hits from above). It's amazing how little of the product you need, I make sure that there is not much on my brush when I put it on, it you put too much on at once it will look bad. But if you put it on in light layers, it ROCKS!!!! Otherwise, check out the forum on the site, those ladies know all of the secrets... I know that they have really helped me!

Haydensmom,
Thank you for your advice. I was using a brush to apply it, but I guess it has to be that special brush you mentioned. I'll have to order one, but I wanted to see if I liked the pure powder before I bought the brush. Did you put moisturizer on first?

I ordered a kubaki brush; it should be here tomorrow, the girls on the site said this this would be the best for applying. I am currently using the flocked sponge(3bucks from Aromaleigh((AL) and a cheap retractable brush from Walmart. I have the application down now, so that is why I can get by with the cheaper brush. But I will use the Kubaki when I get it and let you know how it works for me! I do not really use a moisutizer, I currently use Neut. heathy skin lotion. AHA during the day. But I do let it sink in for about 5-10 min before applying. I am soon going to switch to either jojoba oil or one of AL's serums for a moisturizer....... Best of luck..remember practice makes perfect!!!!

Wow, all these posts! It gets the excitement going for those who haven't tried it. Hope they're as happy as we are.

The 2n is a good alternative for me too, and I am pretty fair, blonde hair, green eyes, but the Illuminator, for me, is the best. I love the glow I get and it wears so well during the day. I don't use a moisturizer since my skin is oily. Maybe that's why you're having problems. It may be grabbing too much with a lotion on your skin first. When I get too much on my big brush, my cats run from me, which is funny. Powder goes all over the room, but what's great is that it still blends in, even with too much at times.

I did get in on that sale, by the way, but it was for my Illuminator and a blush, skipping the primer.

Cool

Good to hear that you still caught the sale!
You are naughty though.... trust me you NEED the primer! What blush did you get? I recently bought the Verve and Verita>both great! It is nice to know that there are people that have some self-control while purchasing from AL!!!!!! I know I sure don't!!!
One more? for you....have you considered the serums yet? I am still waiting on those, haven't taken the plunge yet... I think that I'll wait for her to get her Orange Blossom(Heavy h20) spray completed before I order again, it is supposed to be a great finishing spray, plus the heavy h20 kills acne bac.!!!! hippie

I am still in love with mineral makeup! I am still using JI but I would gladly give aromaleigh a try if I could get it shipped across the pond. I am glad that everyone is so happy! I recently ran out and bought a powder foundation which shall remain nameless (ok so it was Clinique superpowder or double wear or whatvever). I really thought it would be the same. What a mistake. I was oily and the stain was all over my fingers and got on all my office documents! Plus it turned orange. Mineral makeup makes my skin look pretty darn great. Just an update-I was never able to get the B5 and for a while I was pretty miserable since it seems to be my cure. However, summer seems to have made my skin a little drier so maybe I am safe until August when I go back to the States and can stock up on the B5. I also switched Birth Control Pills and that also seems to be helping. Only one cyst this month! Knock on wood.

Just received my sample baggies of AL. It looks like there's hardly anything in there! What if use up all the powder before I get the hang of applying it and then don't know what to order full size? Am I fretting over nothing? I'm just so nervous about this!

My samples just arrived too. I haven't opened the package yet, but I don't know if there will be enough in there to mix and match if I have to. Let me know how it works for you!
