Post Anyone ride motorcycles cause i have a question

I ride a motorcycle, to be specific i just got a new cbr 600rr. Anyways the helmet has a lot of bacteria cause of my sweat. I was wondering is there a way to clean the inside of the helmet, like the padding? I have a Shoei rf900 helmet. Thanks

Hey guys, I also ride. I have a 98 600, Smokin Joes edition!!! I hear you about the helmet acne. The thing I've found to work is wearing a doo-rag. I want to clean the padding with alcohol, but I'm scared it will cause the padding to flake. I have yet to ask my husband about it. Definitely try the doo-rag!

my boyfriend and his stepfather are really big motorcycle riders. they even dragrace. his stepfather likes to do those iron butt rides and long distance rides now. they have 6 motorcycles total. i used to like to go riding but now since my face breaks out and i have to wear makeup i hate it. pulling the helmet on and off rubs my makeup off. especially when it is hot. his stepfather has pretty clear skin and i always wondered how he never broke out. because he rides awhole lot. last week he mentioned to my boyfriend that his inside liner of his helmet must be really getting oily or dirty because his forehead was breaking out. that's why i choose not to ride anymore. i hate helmets. but i wouldn't ride without one either. so it really sucks.
