I recently inquired if anyone else on the boards had experience with the Obagi-nu derm line.
I had so many doubts about this working for my blemish prone skin that had discolorations. I have been using it for 3wks under doctors supervision and this is the best thing on the market. Its expensive, but my skin marks are fading, my blemishes are diminishing and my skin tone is evening out.
Obagi consists of Tretinoin .05 (retin a) not supplied in package and hydroquinone at 4%. The first week was torture with peeling, dryness and redness. My blemishes were magnified with the redness! Skin Bleaching is blended with the retin a allowing it to go deeper into the skin. The results are fast!
I am also getting microdermabrasions done and that also is having a great effect on my skin tone and texture. The combo is perfect for me.
I also use Jane Iredale cosmetics which have some skin healing properties and of course I am a big one with vitamins (multi, E, C, zinc)
I've seen 2 end results of people who had been on Obagi for 6 months and there skin was flawless. It was so great that I could not even believe they had problem skin.
I am supposed to start in two days...but am debating on wether to go through with it or not. My biggest concern is how horrible you can look while going through it. I work in a big office and absolutley dread being seen like this....what is your opion on the whole thing?

Can ya show me what Obagi products to buy? They have such a broad product line that I don't even know where to start. I have light/no acne with just brown/red spots.
It depends on what you are looking for. I use the gentle cleanser, toner, and blender with RetinA. Instead of the expensive sunscreen I use the Nuetragena oil free/fragrance free sunscreen. I started my first day on Obagi, although I know it's going to get bad I'm looking for the pot of gold at the end of this bad skin care rainbow.

You can do the low intensity obagi. It is a little slower but the yuckies arn't as bad.
