Post THE LOW DOWN!!!

OK, I'm really confused. I have read much about whether to use cold water or warm water. I have recently been using cold water to wash my face w/ but I don't really see a difference. Which is "supposed" to be better. I have REALLY bad oily skin. Well, I thought since cold water is supposed to be good for oil on the face why would it not work for my hair since it's oily too? Been doing that too...no change? Is this just another hoax?? Cold/Warm..does it matter?

Depends on whether you want to open (hot) or close (cold) your pores.

Hi. When I wash my face, I use warm water first so the pores are opened and will be cleaned thouroughly when I cleanse it. Then after that I rinse with cold water to close the pores and avoid dirt getting inside the pores. As far as hair, I would say cold water would be more helpful; I said that because I think heat absorbs oil.
