Post Clindamycin pledgets safe?
Hi.

My primary care doctor recently changed my Benzaclin prescription to Clindamycin pledgets. The first thing it said on the prescription information was that it could cause rare, severe symptoms (in some cases fatal)--something about some type of colitis or something. This didn't make me want to hurry up and try it! I have been using Benzaclin with no problems. Is this the same or are the 1% Clindamyclin Phosphate pledgets something different? Has anyone had a reaction to these?

benzaclin has clindamycin in it. so you're safe.

clindamycin can cause that reaction in some people, but usually when it is taken orally.
