I have read a lot about how testosterone increases when we reach puberty, and how this can basically cause acne. Is there anyhting that a male can take that can somewhat supress the testosterone levels?

i don't think you want to be messing with yer testosterone...steroids will mess with it but will shrink yer gonads, give you ****, and change yer voice.....go for different solutions...i think the testosterone inhibiting solution is more geared towards women...just a thought
Testosterone itself is not responsible for acne but its more potent for dihydrotestosterone. Try Saw palmetto its known for its effects on inhibiting DHT. That's how i got rid of my acne.
hey kehcorpz, i am also going to try saw palmetto. i had a few questions i was hoping you could answer.
1. are you a guy? had to ask this one.
2. did you have an initial breakout from it?
3. how long did it take for you to see results?
4. how much did you take and how did you split up the dosage through the day? i am planning on taking 160mg twice daily.

My gameplan was to keep it simple. The more stuff you put on your face, the more irritated your skin becomes. To this day i have to keep things off my face because even though i'm clear, my skin is still prone to breakouts.
sweetjade 4 160mg pills which totalled 640. If you're female i don't know if this approach would work for you, but you can try anyways. Saw Palmetto is relatively cheap.

Why fight it? I agree with gogogrrl, don't take steroids. In fact, I wouldn't suggest taking any pill. You also have to consider side effects. Not everything is risk-free.
I don't believe that problems can be solved by just taking a pill. "Ahhh, I'm depressed and I have acne.. Oooh, here's a pill, I'll take it. Tomorrow I'll be happy." That kind of attitude gives false hopes. How about changing your outlook on your skin? The more you think about it, the more you become depress. Focus more on the goods things that are happening. Not that I'm saying you should ignore the problems.
If you're only a teenager, on the verge of being a man, don't fight your growth. Use creams but not pills.

What are you guys talking about? Who ever mentioned steroids? First off steroids increase testosterone levels and cause acne. Thats not what I`m going for. I was talking about saw palmetto which is known to block dihydrotestosterone, the more potent form of testosterone.
Well you're sorta wrong. Steroids actually supress testosterone. But you get acne from the other foreign substance not from your own testosterone levels. Exogenous substances always shut down other endocrine functions. And yes i'm convinced Saw palmetto was the reason for my acne disapearance along with the other few things i mentioned. But some studies say that saw palmetto may inhibit dht conversion in the prostate only, others say differently. But my experience is the only thing that matters to me.
you say under 100g of carbs and nearly no fat? That's 400 calories from carbs, and even less from fat? I assume you need at least 2000 calories/day to stay alive, being a dude and living and breathing and all. That's around 1500 cal of pure protein = 375g of protein a day. Interesting.. do you take egg whites intravenously or something?
You obviously didn't read it properly. I said 100 carbs a day max. The rest coming from fat and protein.
I get about 200grams (sometimes 300) of protein per day and the rest being fat from udos choice oil. 1 gram of fat has 9 calories so it can easily fill up the amount of calories you take.
I'm 6'2 196lbs in the 5% bf range. My caloric intake is pretty high.
