I've always been one of those pale introverted people who spends their life indoors during the day and outdoors during the night. I've got acne. Recently, I went with my family to florida for a two week vacation. We were out in the sun everyday, sightseeing and swimming. As the days went on I noticed that my acne was clearing up. I observed my face closely each night for the rest of the trip. My acne was completely gone for the last couple days. When I got back home it took a single day for it to start coming back....Could it have something to do with the sunshine?
Lately, its been making mine worse. As I would come home with all my marks even redder. And I only spend 15mins in the sun.....not even directly. Thats why I stay in the shade in stuff.
Its been very frustrating for me as of late. Im using cortate cream everyday when I get home to help fade the red marks, and it works great! Like the marks will be gone within the next day, but then once I get back out.....it gets red again!!! ARGH!!!!!!!
I'll have to disagree. I've done tanning in the past, and while I was tanning, I was zit-free. The UV rays tend to try out my oils and, perhaps, damage my sebum-producing glands. I'm not exactly sure what the mechanism is, but it works.
I no longer tan, however, because the long-term damage isn't worth it. Later in life, the damage the sun and UV rays do to your skin can lead to cancer and unappealing wrinkles. Besides, it's bad for tattoos, and I have a lot of those. ;-)
Well for me, it has made my ****in skin 1000000 times more sensitive. andits not like I even spend that much time in the sun to begin with, maybe 30 mins a day in and out.
I'm sorry that you haven't had the same "luck" with UV exposure. But, like everything else used to treat acne, what works for some may make another's condition worse. C'est la vie, I'm afraid.
Please think of this.....All living organisms need sun light to survive. Some people tend to forget that we are animals. The sun has many countless vitamins and benifits. it can even change your mood. i'm not advocating tanning or anything but 20 to 30 min a day of sunlight is great. Also I think sun block is poison
