Post accutane and food

is there any food that you're not supposed to take accutane with? I remember with minocycline you couldn't take it with milk or dairy. Also, I heard that you're not supposed to take accutane on an empty stomach. Anyone know anything about this?

you can eat anything you want to on accutane. foods high in vitamin a, you might want to stay away from. the truth is, thats only a big problem if you base your whole diet around vit a...like carrots. don't drink alcohol, if you do, in moderation. accutane may raise your cholesterol levels, so you might want to watch the amount of cholesterol you eat, but it shouldn't be a problem. hope this helps.

honestly.. it doesn't matter.. our bodies arent that sensitive.. eat what you want, drink what you want.. i can almost gaurantee that your face will still clear up.. i drank a few times a week for my whole treatment, i drank shakes that had 50% vitamin A.. i took more accutane pills than the doctor had me on because i wanted it to go faster.. and my treatment went fine, my lab tests were perfect, and my skin is clear.

Yeah, I took mino for awhile too, and I know it said not to take it with dairy, but on Accutane it actually helps to take it with dairy. Anytime that I forgot to take my Accutane with dinner, I would take it with a glass of milk. Really with Accutane no food is going to stop it so the main concern is to make sure the stomach is coated with either food or milk so that the powerful med won't irritate the stomach lining.
