It isn't acne. It is keratosis pilaris.It is caused by the hair getting blocked in the follicle by a build up of keratin.
My doctor has me using a lotion twice a day. Ammonium Lactate Lotion, 12%. You can get it at Walmart, by special order. It cost $10.
You should also exfoliate your arms and legs with something like St. Ive's Scrub or baking soda and some water. A loofah might also work to help wash away the dry, scaly skin.
