 The only oral meds that worked for me
with the exception of Accutane (which I tried once, worked fine) was Bactrum. My acne was bad to the point that when I scraped my skin with a fingernail or scrubbed with a toner/astringent on cotton to get substantial residue. I also had plenty of blackheads on my nose.
But while on Bactrum, I had none of that--much fewer cysts and virtually no pimples; no blackheads on nose. It was a miracle.
Unfortunately, I had been on it for more than a yar, had to get off.
Tetracyclines, minocyclines did nothing.
