After reading many posts in this forum, I would first like the thank all of you that have helped others deal with their acne problems by providing such useful input, and I, too, are asking for some help.
I have pretty mild acne on my face that I have been able to keep under contol but my real prolem now are red and skin colored bumps on my upper arms and have found that this is most likely keratosis pilaris but I am not sure, since they have a very similar look to pimples. I have had these for about a year now, and time is not playing a part in helping this go away. What will help get rid of these "pimples"?
In addition to this I also have what seems to be pimples on my chest and shoulders. I have tried salicyclic acid (2%) and BP (10%) and these have helped to an extent but are hardly a solution for control. How long should I have to wait before I should really see improvement, or should I be trying anything else that has worked with you? Again, some simple recommendations or routines would be greatly appreciated to finally get clearer skin.
Also, I have been considering Proactiv, as I have read that this seems to help for mild acne and also helps to treat acne on the chest and shoulders. Any advice?
