| | Neutrogena Rapid Clear-A Review
Hi everyone I'm back! No, I didn't fall off the face of the earth, I've just been on vacay. I went back to the States to visit my family and the first thing I did was run into the local megadrugstrore looking for products!!!
I use Dermafina and while it's no wonder product, it doesn't break me out and manages my breakouts to a certain extent. SA is my friend. However, it's 50 bucks a pop and I can't get it over here Europe so I decided to try to find a cheaper alternative. I bought two products: Neutrogena Rapid Clear Oil Control Foaming cleanser and Rapid Clear Gel.
The cleanser is a creamy one that doesn't have SA or BP. It does have a lemony frangrance. It claims to keep your skin oil free "for hours". Well, it does clean exceptionally well but I didn't see any significant oil control there. After 30 minutes my face became the oil slick it always is.
I bought the gel because I thought it might be a good replacement for an exfoliator like CP serum or Paula's 2%. No NO NONONONONONONON! Don't go there. It has a horrible frangrance, flakes like crazy under make-up, and is irritating. I used it for 3 weeks and all I got was the biggest chin cyst of all time and little bumps all over my forehead, a place where I never break out.
I kept the cleanser but threw the gel away. Then I reordered a big bottle of Paula's exfoliator and stocked up on the b5 and Zinc. I've been using these things plus CP serum for a week and my skin has really cleared. I keep trying new things, but these are the only things that seem to help me. Just thought I'd let you know.
