Post How bad b4 accutane?
Hi Guys

I was just wondering if any1 knew how bad your skin has to be until they put you on Accutane. I have moderate but persistant acne. I really want to go on it bcos it's really getting me down. I'd appreciate your help.

I think its mostly for acne that is cystic in nature (big lumps) and that has the potential to scar....Its also for people who don't respond to other treatments out there like antiobiotics and topicals...Basically, its a last resort...

Accutane is a last resort when it comes to acne treatment. If you've tried everything from mild acne medications to moderate meds(oral antibiotics preferably) and to no avail, then I suggest you give Accutane a try. The reason why people are so weary of Accutane is its side effects. There can be severe long lasting side effects but the percentage of people with these symtoms is very low. Good Luck =)
