Post Paula Choice Substitutes?

Hi, I'm new to the board and it seems everyone here uses Paula's Choice products... here...

I've had stubborn acne for a while now, and it's really painful especially for the self esteem =(.

I want to start a regimen like most people on the board here, but i was wondering if there are over the counter substitute are comparable to Paula's Choice product!! mainly because i really prefer the convenience of picking something up at the drugstore, instead of waiting 10-17 days for shopping =(.

Thank you.

Welcome!

In my opinion, there is really nothing comparable to Paulas Choice products (especially the BHAs) in the drugstore. Most drugstore items contain irritants such as fragrance and colorants, which can make you break out even more. Paulas Choice products are very carefully formulated to avoid all of these irritants, and to be at the most effective pH level.

I would love to just pick stuff up at the drugstore too, but I think it's worth it to wait for shipping and have clear skin!!

I totally agree with TimDream! Listen to her. I too want the drugstore miracle but the problem is there are so many drugstore products with BHA or BP and the packageing looks great and the box promises clear skin but the company puts in all this other stuff that can make your skin worse and the PH of the product is too high or too low to really help you. Waiting for shipping is definately worth the wait. Paula's Choice 2% solution and CP Exfol Serum are the only two chemical exfoiliators that have ever done for me what they promised to do.

Thumbs up

My sister came back from America about 2 months ago and brought me back a pack of oxy cleansing wipes containing 2% salicyclic acid I have been using them ever since and think they have contributed to the improved condition of my skin.
Unfortunately I have almost run out and haven't been able to find them over here.

I also use Neutrogena Healthy Skin Lotion for the AHA it contains.

PC is a little more expensive over here in Australia
