Post accutane process

I have taken accutane a couple months ago for 3 months(40mg/day) which made me a lot better. Now I am getting a bit back but is not as bad as before. Would taking another course of accutane make the pores even smaller and make my face even better? I only had dry lips and face which didn't bother me and my blood tests were great so would it be good to take a second time?

Re: accutane process

Hey Flake,

I took accutane for 4 month at 40mg. My face cleared amazing withing weeks. But one month after being off of accutane I started breaking out again. I have a few on each side of my face and lots and lots of little ones on my forehead. I went back to my derm and he said that maybe 5months would have done the trick. But he wanted to put me on topicals for a little while I had had enough pills. I was on Erythromicin for 6 months for about 1 year all together on pills. I hope that mine does not get worse and I understand you because I'm ready right now to take another dose of accutane.

Let me know who it goes for you.

Keep your head up

Re: accutane process

I took Accutane for mild*to*moderate acne and did a 5 month course of 80 mg per day because my derm said that a 4 or 5 month course would ensure that I stayed clearer longer. I have been done for 6 months now and my skin is still clear (using Azelex daily).
