Yup, that is the keyword here, YOUR diet ;-)

Well, in general this is my diet and it is a HORMONE/Androgen/Insulin controlling diet:

Low Carbohydrate diet- by way of following a Gluten Free/Low Grain diet. I do NOT count the Glycemic Load/Index nor do I pay attention to the amount of carbohydrates/sugar that I eat. I still get plenty of carbs from Fruit, Vegetables, Legumes/beans, Nuts, and a few grains. The only reason I call this a low carb diet is because just by avoidng most grains, except Rice, Corn, and occasionally oatmeal, I am essentially "low carbing" because I've reduced my own personal intake from close to 75% or more carbs to maybe 40% - 50%. ( BIGGEST impact on my skin and eliminated my menstrual cramps)

Reduced GF Cereal/refined Cereal - I can eat cereals that don't contain gluten but for some reason, whenever I do, I breakout with pimples or small cysts in/around my earlobes. So I only eat a box a cereal every 2 months or so (with organic milk).

NO Soda - cysts

NO Cherries - cysts

NO Bananas - cysts

Otherwise, that's it. =) I also take a reduced dose of spiro (usually 150mg, but not everyday). I still eat like a busy college student. I still eat fast food, out at resturants, some canned and even frozen food. Heck, I even eat junk food (ice cream, yogurt, chocolate, BUTTER popcorn, etc) when I feel like it, but I don't usually crave sweet stuff.

I mainly drink water 90% of the time and when I don't it's tea/coffee or, sad to say, diluted (with water) 100% fruit juice (it's too sweet for me now).
Otherwise, the ONLY difference is that I don't eat foods that contain the above. Yes yes, I LOVE cherries and Banana nut bread and I can't have them ever again...well unless I want to breakout...and I don't. ;-)

hoped that helped, if not, here's more detail into my diet http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/018754.html (see page 2)

Good luck

Low carb, high protein diet.

Lots of meat - chicken, white fish, salmon, tuna everyday. Beef and steak every 2-3 days.

Lots of fruits - red apples, pears, apple pears, peaches, lemons, cantelope, honey dew.

Lots of veggies - Brocoli, cucumber, tomatoes, cautiflower, mushrooms, peas, spinach, lettuce, green beans, kidney beans.

Fruits and veggies juices - Cucumber juice! This is one of the best fruits for your skin. If you can drink this stuff and gulp it fast, it will help. Cause this stuff is plain NASTY to drink. But I try 1 cucumber a day, which is about 2 large glasses.

Other than that, I only drink water about 100 glasses a day. And natural homemade juices.

Lots of nuts and fibre - Bran flakes is the only cereal I'll eat, with soy milk. Almonds, pecans and brazilian nuts.

Multivitamin pill 1 a day
100mg of Zinc a day
100mg of Vitamin E a day
Celexa for my anxiety

Main thing I do is drink tons of water.
I also drink green tea everyday. This is really good for you and your skin.
I eat strawberries and bananas in oatmeal just about every morning. Some days hard boiled eggs with whole wheat toast.
At lunch I usually have salad with lots of veggies: cucumbers, green pepper, carrots, olives and I only use olive oil as a dressing.
And then somedays I will have a sandwich with lettuce, tomato, chix breast or turkey on whole wheat bread w/ mayo or mustard.
Dinner: salmon, pasta dishes, salads.
Snacks throughout the day: apples w/all natural peanut butter, Yogurt w/ strawberries, almonds, cottage cheese and fruit.
The key is lots of fruits and veggies, and lots of water!!!

Just some info...
For those of you who don't drink caffeine as it causes some of us to breakout for whatever reason, instead of drinking green tea, drink red tea. Red tea has the exact same things in it as green tea (more good antioxidants actually) except for the caffeine! Red tea is caffeine free and you gain the same benefits as green tea. The Red tea I drink (I am not sure if all red tea) comes from a flower in Africa...it is really good.
