I know it's very bland but if you're applying anything to your face I feel like Cetaphil is a great choice. However, I don't have oily skin. This summer I was in Italy and the hot climate made my skin oilier and I had good luck with Clarins Purifying Cleansing Gel (it foams and has salicylic acid). If you prefer a creamy cleanser I liked the Clean and Clear creamy cleanser. Hope this helps!
I had been a Dove user for years (many many years). I recently switched to Burt's Bees wild lettuce soap becuase I read about the tallow (rendered beef fat) in Dove. I 'd heard great things about the wild lettuce soap. It's been great so far. I don't think it's as drying as Dove while it leaves my face feeling a lot cleaner. Good luck
i have very oily skin as well and what helped out SOOOO much was the dermalogica dermal clay cleanser..my skin feels so clean when i use it and i am definately less oily then before.
misanthrope, your skin sounds like it's exactly like mine...mild acne and oily...what's worked best for me is carley's clear and smooth...you can buy it online directly from the manufacturer and it's SO cheap...like twenty two bucks for a sixteen ounce bottle...works just like the proactiv stuff *which worked great for me but was just too expensive* in just one step...good luck to you...

I dont like the liquid neutrogena soap but I do like the neutrogena bar soap for acne prone skin. I have oily skin and it rinses easily and dosent leave my skin dry. Then I like to use st ives apricot scrub and clean n clear blackhead removing toner. I have resorted to these 3 after using clinique, proactive, differin, retin a, benzaclin, and all the antibiotics and whatever else they gave me. I just cringe thinking about all the money I wasted.
I tried the Cetaphil since I couldn't find the other brands that you guys have listed on here. I have never heard of Yonka or Wild Lettuce soap.
Please keep listing your suggestions as I am always looking for new cleansers to try!
Oh, and BTW, I don't think the Cetaphil is working for me. It seems to make my face a bit oily. I think I might try the Cetaphil for oily skin formula though. Has anyone tried that one?
