I'm not talking cigarettes here. But I think you guys know that. I just quit marijuana the other day so I'll let you know if it helps. I also just started taking vitamin E, C, Beta Carotene and zinc. It'll be a full week saturday. The doc has me on retin a-micro and minocyclin. But the way that you guys are talking, I don't think my acne is that bad. I just want a perfect complexion. I'll keep you updated to let you know if my regiment works. You guys should start posting pictures of your face. To let other people with acne see how bad yours really is. It might help, I think alot of us think it's worse than it is.
nope...it does not cause acne!
i'm sure the smoke isn't good for the skin but it isn't a cause.
my fiance use to smoke alot and had no acne...
she doesn't smoke anymore and has cystic acne now.
i am a heavy smoker and do not have any acne.
Nah...I don't think so either.
I used to smoke every day and I have zits. I quit for a month or so and the zits are still there. Then I tried again and they are still there. They come and go, but it has nothing to do with maryjane.
I'm an avid pot smoker, I smoke about 3-5 times daily. Marijuana depletes your body of minerals and vitimins as so I have heard, therefore, saying it doesn't cause acne is somewhat un-true.
Another thing I've noticed is the whole "cotton mouth" thing it causes, I believe it also does something to the blood, everytime I smoke any cyst I have sort of pulsate, I can feel my zits throbbing and they get somewhat enflamed.
Your zits pulse? Man, that's gross. Haha.. This thread was just too funny to pass up. Glad I read it. Personally, I don't think I've ever heard of any true link between cannabis and pimples.
Like I've said before, 95% of acne experienced by folks is simply a result of hormone-induced oily skin. Washing one's face can help, but it's not at all a cure. Just hang in there and wait 'til you're body chemistry settles out a bit. That's it.
