Re: Any problems with the petroleum in neosporin, polysporin...etc
I actually went to the drug store and read the ingredients of the cream and the ointment. They were both different.
Active Ingredients: Each gram contains: Polymyxin B Sulfate 5,000 units, Bacitracin Zinc 400 units and Neomycin 3.5mg.
Inactive Ingredients: Also contains a base of cocoa butter*, cottonseed oil*, olive oil*, soduim pyruvate*, tocopheryl acetate* and white petrolatum.
Didn't contain the zinc.
Here is something I found someone posted when they reviewed Neosporin Ointment.
"Have a pimple that irritates you? I use Neosporin for those red bumps also. It works wonders for clearing up that one annoying little pimple that doesn't seem to want to go away. Just apply 3 times a day, and you will soon see that swelling mass disappear before your very eyes."
