Re: Retin-a micro Update/Week by Week

I just got off retin a micro after using it for 7 weeks.... It worked good for me, and I broke out, but around week 6 my pimples kinda cleared up, I still have them though, but my red marks are gone, oh and by the way, my skin would peel and my face was red, and I hope the "red face" will go awa soon, I've been off it for a week now.

Re: Retin-a micro Update/Week by Week

Sorry for the delay, I have been quite busy. Even though I'm in my third week here are the results for the end of week two.

WEEK 2:

Topicals: Retin-a Micro (night only)
Orals: B5(1g), Zinc (50mg), Vit C, *added B-complex (1
a week)*
Acne Type: Mild Cystic (forehead region/temples)
Skin Type: Sensative
Total Pimples or Cysts: 3 (pimples), 1 Cyst
Pimple or Cyst reduction: 1 Cyst
Total Scars: 9
Irritation: No
Redness: Yes
Peeling: Very Little
Scar Reduction: Unoticable (No Sign)

So Far, no improvement at the end of week two. I think I am experiencing an initial breakout. However, pimples are reaching to a head much faster that normal. I will update you guys in 4 days (which is actually the end of week 3)

Re: Retin-a micro Update/Week by Week

Sorry for the delay, I have been quite busy. Here are the results for the middle of the fourth week.

END OF WEEK 3 1/2:

Topicals: Retin-a Micro (night only)
Orals: B5(1g), Zinc (50mg), Vit C, *added B-complex (1
a week)*
Acne Type: Mild Cystic (forehead region/temples)
Skin Type: Sensative
Total Pimples or Cysts: 4 (pimples), 1 Cyst
Pimple or Cyst reduction: 2 pimples
Total Scars: 11
Irritation: No
Redness: Yes
Peeling: Little - Moderate
Scar Reduction: Light fading of older scars

So Far, no improvement at the end of week 3 1/2. I think I am DEFINATELY experiencing a breakout which started at the towards the end of week 3. As you can see the total number of pimples have gone up week by week as well as the number of scars. The increase in the number of scars is obviously due to pimples coming to the surface. However, there is a very faint improvement in older scars, brown and red. My skin is extremely sensitive at this point. Anything whether it be touch, washing or the sun irritates the skin. I will update you guys again at the end of week 5 (10 days from now)

Re: Retin-a micro Update/Week by Week

Hi Groovelicious,

I just started Retin-A micro myself and am finished with my first week. I thought i'd post my results in your format if you don't mind....

WEEK 1
------
topicals: Retin-a Micro (night only)
orals: none
Acne Type: mild noninflammatory w/ a few pimples
Skin Type: light skin with dark hair and eyes (i'm
Eye-talian)
Active/Existing Pimples or Cysts: 2 pimples
Any New Pimples or cysts emerging: no
Total Scars: 3 that are noticable
Irritation: No
Redness: slight (localized around healing blemishes)
Peeling: yes (mild)
Scar Reduction: noticable reduction in hyperpigmentation (due to peeling i think)

NOTE: I LOVE this stuff -- best topical i've ever used (used Proactiv and Azelex azelaic acid cream + various other OTC products).
