Did anyone NOT have an inital breakout with B5? It seems every post I've read, people have a bad breakout? I am on 5,000 mg a day and have been taking it for three days. I'm scared the breakout is on its way....I hope I'm wrong. Please help
5,000mg seems like abit much to take to me. I'm on 1,000mg and didn't get the initial breakout everyone was talking about. I really don't think the initial breakout is that bad anyway, plus think of the good results you'll be getting afterwards, I think it's worth a mild breakout!! I'm also taking Saw Palmetto, 320 mg per day and have seen fab results. hth!
I'm not currently taking B-5, but I am taking Erythromycin (250 mg) twice a day. I recently read that antibiotics do decrease the body's absorption of vitamins, so I'd take the two as far apart as possible.
i have moderate acne, and no it's not cystic. but i'm very prone to breakouts and nothing happened to me, but perhaps it was because i was on the saw plametto as well. i haven't heard one bad thing about the palmetto, youmay wanna give that a try.

I tried to get 50mg at a health food store and the guy there told me that I had to talk to a doctor first....I am Canadian so maybe we're more strict, but I suggest you talk to your doctor about it anyway just to be on the safe side of things!
Even 1000mg sounds like alot. I take 5mg and it's cleared up my skin considerably. I'm 25 with hormonal acne.
I'm in Canada too, and all I could find was 100 mg at a health food store. So if I take 1000 mg per day, that means it would last me only 9 days for a bottle of 90 tablets ?! And on the bottle it is written: D'Pantothenic Acid (Calcium D'Pantothenate), guess it's the same...So I guess I'll start with 500 mg per day.
