someone a little while ago posted something about using salt water for breakouts.. it worked so well for me! i'm going to do it a few times a week now. just wanted to share, and give a big thanks to that person for suggesting this
With the salt water are you ACTUALLY drinking it? Or are you just splashing salt water on the acne prone areas? What type of salt are you using too? Please share more details on this, it sounds interesting!
hi again. my regimen is i wash with my regular cleanser and then i just fill up a regular cereal sized bowl with some warm water. i just use regular table salt and pour it into the bowl. i think i probably add about 3 tablespoons, but i taste a little bit to be sure. it should just taste like ocean salt water. i'll take a cotton ball and soak it it the water and wipe it all over my face. i use 2 cotton balls in all. it gets a little messy so just wipe of the drips with a towel, it will start to dry pretty fast because of the salt. i go watch tv or whatever for about 15-20 minutes, then just rinse it off it warm water. rinse well!! you dont want any salt leftover. this is a great thing, i hope it works for others as it has for me
[This message has been edited by blueyesM (edited 06-24-2001).]
Ive been doing this everyday AM and PM...its working great... a year ago i went to the ocean for a few days and my skin cleared so well so I thought this might work and it is..swipe a cotton ball over any acne prone areas..face....back and chest..it dries them up!!! magic..I luv it
For all of you using this regimen: How was your acne before? Mild/moderate/severe? Did prescription meds and OTC products fail you? I have been so many topicals/antibiotics and nothing works for me. I'm going to try this tonight...I'm keeping my fingers crossed
Yay! I found some seasalt in my kitchen. Mediterranean seasalt. There's not much of it though. Does anyone know if it works on cysts?
[This message has been edited by Girlie19 (edited 06-25-2001).]
Alright thanks for nothing, I just poured 3 tablespoons of iodized salt into a bowl, warm water... dipped my head a couple of times and letting it dry. Since no one will respond ill do a trial an error.
Alright, the sting from the salt was soo bad. Differin has made my skin sooo sensitive that it hurts to wash with anything but Purpose, but I'm still going to do the salt thing cause I had great results when I went to the beach a couple months ago. I always thought it was the sun, but maybe the salt will help me..
