i need help. everytime i get my eyebrows waxed i break out in that area. what can i do to alleviate this. i love the look of waxed eyebrows and when i pluck them they are not as clean. any help? thanks!
I had the same problem until I switched to a different stylist. I think if you get alot of ingrown hairs the person may not be pulling the strip off at the right angle. Either that or the wax isnt sticking to all of the hairs properly. Good Luck
I find as long as the wax they are using doesn't have any added fragrance or additives it doesn't do that. see if your stylist can try a different brand...let them know...might end up helping a lot of their clients.
ok this happens to me all the time when i wax my face! it is such a pain! i think the ingrown hairs are what causes it too. next time i wax i am going to make sure to exfloate the area every day to see if it prevents this.
Its funny because once I went to get my eyebrows waxed and had this recurring pimple in between my eyebrows. It had turned into a yellow head but I didn't do anything about it. When the esthetician pulled off the wax strip when waxing between my eyebrows, it popped the pimple! I was embarrassed, but she just cleaned it up with a tissue and squeezed the rest out. She said that it never bled nor did any clear liquid come out and that it was a good sign that the infection was gone. I haven't had that pimple come back since!!!! I swear, it was one of those that always resurfaced but never came to a head except for that time. I guess the result would have been the same if I popped it at home. I just thought I'd share that somewhat interesting story with you guys (not quite sure why i did, lol). Anyway, I don't find that I breakout after I get my eyebrows done and I was doing it every other week at one point, I love the look too!!! My esthetician uses some lotion after she waxes them, once she didn't and the area between my eyebrows was irritated and formed a hard dry crust, that went away wtih the use of some moisturizer. Anyway, that's my story.
