how much Retin-a Micro should I use?

I started using Retin-a micro about a week ago and it seems like half the tube is already gone. I assume these tubes should last about a month, but I'm not sure. Am I using too much? I put it on every night and that's it. The tube seems really small (compared to Differin) so I'm guessing I should use less of it on my face, but I think I'm using about the same amount.

Re: how much Retin-a Micro should I use?

I just read on their website (www.retinamicro.com) that I should use a pea size amount for my entire face. Wow. I've been using probably 6 pea size amounts for my face at a time. It really doesn't seem to spread easy enough for just 1 pea size amount. I guess I'll try cutting back though...

I use a "pea size" amount on my:

forhead,
left cheek
right cheek
nose and upper lip
chin

5 "peas" in all. I don't think 1 "pea" would cover my nose, let alone my whole face. You are supposed to cover those areas that have acne.

so how often do you go through a tube? My dermo gave me 5 refills, I don't think that's gonna last me 12 weeks...

Re: how much Retin-a Micro should I use?

One 45 gram tube will last me 6 to 8 weeks.

So you have about 9 to 10 months supply. It should be no problem for them to call in to your pharmacy an extra tube or two by the time you begin to run out.

Another point - I use Retin-A once a day. I don't slather it on either, "5 peas" for the whole face.

If you can't decide what a "pea" size is, go to your frozen food section and buy some frozen peas.

the tube's I get are only 20 grams. Maybe that's why I seem to be going through it so fast...
