I used to think that drinking alcohol made me break out but I think it's just when I get little sleep due to partying that makes me break out. All the other times when I broke out, I was drinking, but I was also drinking and sleeping mad late. So now, when I drink, I try to still sleep and get my normal amount of sleep. Sleep is sooo important, now that I look back, all the times that I was breaking out in the past, I was sleeping really late.
I totally think I break out more when I party. But I'm not sure it's the alcohol as much as hanging out with a bunch of smokers at bars and I don't drink enough water when I'm consuming alcohol. Plus my Nutritional healing book says to avoid alcohol if your acne prone. I like to party too much, so I can't give that up.
I think IMO if u have ACNE u have ACNE and IF u Dont u dont, Doesnt matter what u eat or what u do if u have it your going to have it untill it goes away and if u dont then it doesnt matter what u do u wont brake out cause u dont have it. If u do have it there things u can do to try to prevent it etc etc. But as right now i dont think theres a true cure for it if u have your going to have it untill it goes away on its own. But while u have it i think there are alot of things out there to try to prevent it. But a person that truly doesnt have it can do any thing and every thing and they wont brake out.
while i do think certian things can aggravate acne, i don't think it makes a significant diffence. About a month and 1/2 ago, i was so sick of my acne, i did anything i could think of to make it go away. i quit smoking and i quit drinking alcohol and unfortunately, it didn't make one bit of differnce. Well hell, if i'm going to have acne no matter what, i might as well go out and party!
I know that everyone is different. But, you can't talk about those people that have clear skin and go out every night. Obviously, they don't have a skin problem. But for those of us who have, stress can aggrevate our acne. Some people are allergic to certain foods while others are allergic to different foods. Our job is to find out what we are personally allergic to. I have cut out soo many of the foods I loved just to see if my acne would get better. Looking back, I still don't know how I found the will to stop eating the foods I love. Now, I'm slowly eating the foods that I cut out to make sure which ones causes me to break out. I cut out the major ones like Chocolate, milk, cheese, and spicy foods. I started to eat cheese, found that it doesn't make me break out. Started to eat chocolate again, today was the first day in years that I've eaten chocolate so hopefully I don't break out. Bottom line, everyone is different. I think it's a little ignorant for people to say that foods, stress, sleep etc. doesn't have anythin got do with acne, because some of us know that these things do affect our acne. Maybe not for some of you, but for others it is a key element.
