Hey,
I would like to know about accutane users, who used tretinoin cream before they started taking it. I hope it reduces the initial break out accutane causes.

My acne wasn't really bad anymore because the tretinoin cream reduced it, so i'm hoping it will not get worse than it is now. I am now on my second day on accutane 30mg.

Can Anyone answer this question?

My acne never got worse while taking Accutane. My skin cleared up quickly. The problem was very dry and irritated skin and back pain. Both problems went away when Accutane was stopped. Iv'e never had another problem with acne.

May I ask how bad you would discribe your acne before taking accutane en did you use tretinoin before taking it.

I had cystic acne for years that did not respond to treatment. Yes, I tried tretinione cream and gel which didn't help me.

I have one more question remaining.
Right now I'm using accutane for 5 days and since day 3 I started breaking out everyday a bit. So not much improvement yet.
Di you experience the same or have you never had a breakout since you started using it? And if you did, when did it stop? Quickly? I ask this so I can maybe compare our situations : )
