| | Ice Pick Scars :(
Hi everyone Ė Iíve been browsing in this forum for a while now, though Iím sure this question has likely been answered before. I have some fairly bad ice pick scars, especially on the left side of my face. Iím 30, and these occurred when I was in my late teens. Iíve tried several OTC anti-scar creams, but lately Iíve just been exfoliating. I recently read exfoliating can possibly make ice pick scars worse.
I know going to see a dermatologist is definitely an option I will explore, but Iíve also heard of other options Iíve never tried, such as chemical peels, other creams, and microdermabrasion. One web site I read went as far to recommend a home chemical peel with 20% TCA and a Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System, both fairly cheap. Has anyone tried any of these alternative methods before going to a dermatologist?
Iím thinking of money here, as itís $60 just to see the specialist, let alone do anything else!
