At my wits end. Hawaii in just over 3 weeks and this acne won't go away!!

My confidence is being destroyed by this acne on my back. One zit is cystic and the rest aren't. I went to the dermatologist and got Adapalene cream and was told to buy OTC Panoxyl wash. Why is it not working?!?! I am going to Hawaii on July 16 and I NEED this stupid acne to be gone!! I've been treating it for a couple of months. I don't know what to do.

Call your derm and ask if they do injections of cortisone. A cortisone injection into the zit will almost immediately get rid of it. I have had these done over the years several times, when I have had the need (especially when there is a large one on my face). IT only hurts for a second, but to have it gone- SO worth it!
Good luck.

I would first recommend an antibiotic for your back acne.
I would recommend going to the Derm and asking for either Clindamycin or Doxycycline.
Either one of those Antibiotics did wonders for getting rid of my face and body acne.
I would recommend 150MG or 300MG of clindamycin if you get that.
If you get Doxcycline, i would ask for 100MG.

For body acne you can get the neutrogena clear body scrub which has 2% salicylic acid. You can get this at any drug store.
That is my favorite body acne product.

Over use of antibiotics is a real problem across the world. Yes, those drugs might help, but they are not short term solutions to a breakout- they are long term solutions, which should only be used for long term use, to control serious acne.
Try using over the counter scrubs and if all else fails, a trip to the dermatologist to have individual cysts injected, will rid you of them.
Relying on antibiotics for acne, isnt an instant cure, and as soon as you stop using them, the problem will return.
