A good book for someone new to ADD is "Healing ADD" by Dr. Amen
It talks about 6 subtypes of ADD that Dr. Amen himself has seen in his patients. He talks about the symptoms, causes, and treatments of the various ADD subtypes. |
Hi FreeSpirit - and thank you for your greetings!
I have been "effected" by ADD since I was a child, but unfortunatly never recognised as ADD. Its only over the last few years, my problems with keeping motivated in jobs, relationships and my everyday evaluation of everything and extream restlessness and rooted boredom and anything that made me do some further reasearch into ADD.
Whilst being diagnosed for depression my GP, who is excelent, took into account exactly how I am and how I was feeling and refered me to further specialist diagnosis.
I'm afraid I know knothing about subtype's
Early days, but I'm hoping medication and any other advice I can recive may help!
