Procrastination - HELP!

So, to keep it very brief - I'm wondering how other people here have attacked and hopefully begun to overcome their own problems with procrastination.

Mine are pathologic at best. In years of undiagnosed ADD, I seem to have developed an unshakable coping mechanism of avoiding communication with anyone (usually teachers and bosses) who stands to make me feel ashamed for my inability to get stuff done.

I've read some stuff online that is useful - usually about analytically thinking through why procrastination is so damaging and so much less attractive than attacking your responsibilities and tasks - but I'm still frustrated. If you've got suggestions or experience to share, I am absolutely all-ears. This is so so miserable. Thanks in advance.

Make lists of what you need to get done each day/week/month. If you need to work with a counselor or an ADD coach on the weekly/monthly goals then write out the daily lists on your own. Everytime you complete the entire list give yourself a small reward (desert or coffee) Everytime you complete all your lists for the entire week give yourself a nice reward (go out somewhere, buy something)

If you can get an ADD coach you should! I think thatd be very helpful for you. They can help you get organized and remind you to *stay* organized and on top of things.

Alarm clocks/Watches with multiple alarms are helpful for reminders that you need to get started on something.
