| ? about doctors
i took my daughter to a new pediatrician last week and she diagnosed her with adhd and we decided to give her strattera. she gave her 40mg to start(my daughter is 6 and weighs 51lbs. she got a really bad stomach ache and i told the nurse i wanted to start her off on 18mg. she is into her 2nd day and will be going up to 25mg in after two more days. i researched strattera and i know that it is weight based and i wanted to question the doc but she isn't available till tomorrow. so i had the owner of the practice look at her case. he said that the doc gave her the meds according to her symptoms and how bad they were. so here comes my question...
do you think that a regular pediatrician is okay to be taking care of my daughter or do you think that i should be taking her to a psychiatrist??
i am just curious to know what you think.
