I understand. I have made it through this one! Trust me when I tell you that after a baby comes ritalin is the least of your problems!

Sylvia, I would strongly encourage you to discontinue ALL prescription medicines before becoming pregnant. It just isn't worth the risk of having a baby with birth defects!

It would probably be more comfortable for you if you taper the Ritalin rather than going "cold turkey".

I know that going without it will be difficult for you, but I bet you can stand it for 9 months.
